MLB Heavyweight Champion

If MLB champs were decided like boxing: beat the champ, and you're the champ.

The 2008 season started with the Red Sox as champs. They were beaten by the A's, who were beaten back by Boston, who were then swept by Toronto, who lost to Oakland, who lost to Cleveland, and so on, until we reached our current champion.

The Heavyweight of the Year is the team that wins the most title bouts at the end of the season.

I'm finding it baffling to figure out what's going on. Initially I thought "bunt," but that would make no sense given that the bases are loaded and the right fielder (Milton Bradley?) looks like he's following through from a strong throw. The catcher looks like he's poised for a collision, with the gray blur that appears about a third of the way from home plate on the third baseline. But then why is the second baseman (standing on the outfield grass near first base) facing away from the play? And where is the third base coach?

It then occured to me that this could be some sort of break in the action. But then why are the runners on first and third poised to run? And where is Milton Bradley going? And where is the A's pitcher?

I am so confused. I need answers!

Wow, that's tough. Day game and it looks like they're playing either the Indians or Twins. I'll say Indians based on the coach's jacket in the dugout. Bases loaded for Cleveland? Hmm, I'll say May 4th, top 5. The match-up would be Saarloos against Belliard because it looks like a right handed pitcher. Maybe a pitch in the dirt that almost hit the batter, pitcher goes to back up plate, on deck hitter comes up to signal runner at 3rd and right fielder backs up first out of habit. The only thing that makes me think that is wrong is that no runner is moving.

I'll just say that this isn't Derek Jeter scoring a valuable run.
