MLB Heavyweight Champion

If MLB champs were decided like boxing: beat the champ, and you're the champ.

The 2008 season started with the Red Sox as champs. They were beaten by the A's, who were beaten back by Boston, who were then swept by Toronto, who lost to Oakland, who lost to Cleveland, and so on, until we reached our current champion.

The Heavyweight of the Year is the team that wins the most title bouts at the end of the season.

Where In The World Is Ken?

by Ken Arneson

When your team has the worst batting average in all of major league baseball, but is still somehow in first place, it can be quite stressful. On the one hand, your team is awful. On the other hand, you have hope. It's enough to drive you nuts.

I couldn't take it anymore. So I left. Now, I'm in a place where nobody cares a lick if the A's can't hit a lick. The only way I can stress about the A's now is if I go out of my way to do so.

Go ahead and try to figure out what city I am in from these photos I took today. No fair guessing if I already told you where I was going.

Big Apple

Buildings

Sea Soccer

Ah, now, don't you feel better already?

Ah, yes, that is the Turning Torso, but nobody answered my question: what city is it?

It is relevant to this blog, I assure you.

Malmö, Sweden

Anyone else with insomnia and not residing in Malmö might be interested to know that TMC is currently running some classic baseball flicks. Alibi Ike is almost over but Whistling in Brooklyn and Take Me Out to the Ball Game are next.

So, how long are the days in Malmo, Sweden, this time of year?

Malmo is about as far South you can get in Sweden. In fact you can take a drive to Denmark from there. That being said, it is still slightly North of Montreal.

Length of Day: 17h 21m
