MLB Heavyweight Champion

If MLB champs were decided like boxing: beat the champ, and you're the champ.

The 2008 season started with the Red Sox as champs. They were beaten by the A's, who were beaten back by Boston, who were then swept by Toronto, who lost to Oakland, who lost to Cleveland, and so on, until we reached our current champion.

The Heavyweight of the Year is the team that wins the most title bouts at the end of the season.

Pick a year, any year, for a memory. The shirts hang still. In your mind they surround bodies that throw, catche, run, swing, and slide. All to fresh and clean, they are. Only things missing be the white shoes.

Great pic.

The last one on the bottom row (rightmost) appears to have red script. Wow. When did they use red?

They used red when they were the Kansas City A's, from 1955-1960. In 1963, the KC A's started using green and yellow in the uniforms.
